Kueter mug 2.jpgIowa author, Dale Kueter, grew up on a farm near Bellevue, Iowa. He attended Loras College in Dubuque, Iowa and graduated with a degree in journalism from the University of Iowa in 1958. He served six years in the Iowa Army National Guard.

After college Kueter married Helen Hayes. They are the proud parents of five daughters and 14 grandchildren. He ia a proponent of family story writing as a means of sustaining family history. He has published a children's book, "Hide the Daddy," two full-length non-fiction books, "Vietnam Sons" and "The Smell of the Soil," and a historical novel, "Motel Sepia." His latest novel "Ma Bremer's Boys," was published this spring.

Kueter likes to fish, travel and is a long-suffering fan of the Chicago White Sox. He and his wife live in Cedar Rapids, Iowa.
