Toledo Library - Summer Programs

We have a variety of programs all summer, so drop in as often as possible. 

Story Time with Mary
Ages: 5 & under
Dates: Every Wednesday at 10:30 am
Enjoy a book and craft. Must be accompanied by a parent or caretaker. 

Summer Library Lab
Ages: 1st - 8th grade
Dates: June 1 - June 25       Mon/Wed or Tues/Thurs afternoons from 1-2 pm. 
Various arts, crafts and STEM activities. Must register for Summer Library Lab
 

2026 Summer Reading Programs 

Nature Scavenger Hunt       Ages: K-8th Grade       Dates: June 1 - June 30
Pick up a checklist at the library (or print one at home). Mark off the items & return the checklist to the library for a prize!
 

A to Z Reading Challenge     Ages: K-5th Grade       Dates: June 1 - July 31
There are 26 challenges - one for every letter of the alphabet. When a child has completed a challenge, they color in the corresponding letter. When a child completes 13 challenges, they will received a small prize. When they have completed all 26 challenges, they will received a bigger prize & 1 entry in the drawing for a Grand Prize.  
 

Read for the Bead           Ages: K-8th Grade       Dates: June 1 - July 31
Kids read at their own pace and record their minutes on a tracking sheet. They turn their minutes into beads to personalize their own necklace. At the end of the program the child will get to take their necklace home. All children that earn beads will receive 1 entry in the drawing for a Grand Prize.

Tween/Teen Reading Challenge   Ages: 6th-12th Grade    Dates: June 1 - August 31
Pick up a tracker sheet (or print at home). Select & read books based on the monthly challenge. Complete at least 2 challenges each month. Return the form to the library to be entered into the prize drawing.
